Live now
Everyone who has made a request in the last few minutes. The site is plain HTTP, so nobody is really "connected" — this is the honest version of that question. Addresses here are held in memory only for this window and are never written to the database or the logs, so this view has no history and is empty after a restart.
Security
Authentication, authorisation, abuse and payment-webhook events. IP and browser are stored as one-way hashes — enough to link one client's activity together, never enough to identify a person or rebuild their history. Passwords, tokens and card data are never recorded.

Contributions

Reputation for making Chain-List better: better logos, better descriptions, reviews worth reading. Every contribution the community confirms pays Rep, and the Rep you earn is both a record of the work and something you can spend.

How Rep is earned
    What doesn’t earn
    • Repeating a contribution. Each one pays once, however many times it is submitted.
    • Reused review text. Only your first review carrying a given text can earn.
    • Likes on your own review. They are never recorded, and re-liking cannot re-trigger a milestone.
    • Swipe votes cast after the admin’s call. Only votes made before the decision count.

    Questions & Answers

How accounts, ratings, subscriptions and the rest of Chain-List actually work. Search below, or pick a category.

    Getting started
No. Browsing chains, searching and reading reviews are open to everyone, with no account and no cookies beyond the strictly necessary ones. You need a free account to rate a chain, write a review, build your Top list, or keep voting in ChainSwipe once your trial swipes are used up.
Sign-in is blocked until the address is confirmed, so an account can only be created by someone who actually controls that mailbox. It keeps other people from signing up under your address and keeps throwaway accounts out of the ratings.
Check the spam folder first. If it is not there, request a new one from the sign-in screen — an unverified account can always have a fresh verification email sent to it.
Use the reset link on the sign-in screen. We email you a one-time link that lets you set a new password. Completing a reset also verifies the address, so a half-finished signup sorts itself out at the same time.
    Rating & reviewing
Your personal ranking of favourite chains, shown on your profile. A free account gets 3 slots. Foodie unlocks 4, 5 or 6, and Critic lets you pick any size from 1 to 6.
Use the report control on the review itself. Reports go to a moderation queue that an admin works through, and you can also block a user so their content stops appearing for you. Reporting is anonymous to the person being reported.
Send a suggestion — there is a suggestion form for adding a chain or correcting one. An admin reviews each one before it changes anything public. Locations themselves come from OpenStreetMap, so a missing branch is usually missing upstream too.
    Subscriptions & billing
Yes. It renews for the same length you chose — a 1-month subscription renews every month, a 12-month subscription renews every 12 months — at the same price, until you cancel. We email you nothing to opt out of; the renewal simply follows the period you picked.
A 12-month subscription is charged at ten months' price, so two months are free compared with paying monthly for a year. The plan cards show the exact figure for each tier.
Yes, at any time, in two clicks from Settings → Subscription. Cancelling stops the next automatic renewal. It does not cut your access short: you keep every perk until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again. If you paid by card through Stripe you can undo the cancellation any time before that date; PayPal subscriptions cannot be resumed once cancelled, so you would start a new one instead.
Your current period always runs to its end first. Starting a new subscription replaces the old one, and renewals then follow the new period you chose.
Perks activate instantly after payment confirmation. Your badge and settings update automatically.
Payments are handled entirely by Stripe or PayPal, who are the card processors — Chain-List never sees or stores your card details. See our Privacy & Cookie Policy for what payment data we do hold.
    ChainSwipe, ChainNow & Atlas
A quick way to help fix chain logos. You are shown a logo we found for a chain and vote on whether it is right. Votes build a leaderboard, but they do not publish anything on their own — an admin makes the final call on every logo.
You get 3 trial swipes to see how it works, then you are asked to sign in. Guest votes still count towards the tally, but only signed-in votes can appear on the leaderboard.
"Best chains around here." You pick an area on the map — a radius, a box or a shape you draw — and ChainNow ranks the chains inside it. Your location is used to centre that search when you allow it, and is not stored afterwards.
Map tiles and the Atlas world map come from third parties such as OpenStreetMap, and loading them shares your IP address with those providers. Nothing external loads until you allow it, so those areas show a button to load them just for that visit. You can change this any time in cookie settings.
    Privacy & your data
Only what the site needs to work: one that keeps you signed in, and one that remembers your cookie choice. Everything optional — browser storage for your preferences, and content loaded from third parties — is off until you turn it on. The Privacy & Cookie Policy lists each one with its exact lifetime.
They are found from public sources such as Wikidata and Wikipedia, but your browser never talks to those sites. We fetch each logo server-side and serve it from Chain-List, so looking at a chain page does not hand your IP address to anyone else.
The Legal & Privacy page sets out your GDPR rights — access, correction, erasure, portability and objection — together with the contact address to use and how long each kind of data is kept.
No questions match that search. Try a different word, or clear the search.
